Malekan City is located in the southwest of Azerbaijan, and has a common border with West Azerbaijan. It is located 10 km far from Urmia Lake and its southeast corner is between Bonab, Hashtrud, Maraqeh, and Miandoab. The weather in this county is sunny in summer and cold in winter. Its most important products are fruits, dried fruit, cereal, and grape.
