Kazabad Hills of Chardavol

Kazabad Hills of Chardavol

These hills are located in Holeylan Village in the northeast of Shirvan and Chardavol. It has two, big and small, hills. In the east of the big Hill, some broken painted potteries which belonged to three thousand years ago and some carved stones had been found.
In the north of the big hill, is a grand cemetery from which some potteries, antique subjects had been found. There were some objects in the potteries. There are lots of women graves which have lots of belts, glass necklace with copper rings, and bracelet in the potteries.

Moreover, there are some teapot shape, colored and colorless potteries, graves of men and children and four dead bodies buried in a rectangle and square shape.
Other kinds of graves have located there which their bones were put in potteries and buried. The people buried there were poor so no valuable objects have been found.

Alikesh Hill of Dehloran

Alikesh Dehloran Hill

Aliabad or Alikesh hill is located near a tourism city named Musian in Dehloran Province.
The diagonal of its floor is about 135 meter. Its thickness is about 7 meter. It is a historical hill and belonged to Elamian Period.

Tikhan (Tiqan) Hill of Dare Shahr

This hill is located in the northeast of DareShahr, 2 km far from the right side of Simereh River and in the Jamshidabad Village’s farms.
It is estimated that this hill was a four-floor structure once. In its first floor, some brick potteries, flint and triangle green stones had been found.

Kuzehgaran Hill of Dareshahr

Kuzehgaran hill is located 5/5 km far from Tikhan (Tiqen). It is older and bigger than Tikhan Hill. It belonged to 3th Millennium BC. But its first floor belonged to Sasanian Dynasty. Some painted and colored potteries had been found from there. Birds and goats are mostly painted on potteries.
Some graves had been found in hill’s lower parts. There are some potteries which are filed with decedent bones and buried in a plastering place. There are other graves, bones in other parts of the hill which has grand ovens and alley of ashes.
According to what had been found, the graves at the top of the hill belonged to Zoroaster Period. It is considered that this place was a pottery workshop and is also known as Kuzeh Garan (=potter) Hill.

Sargachleh Hill of Dareshahr

Sargachleh is located 8 km far from northeast of Dareshahr town. Sargachleh village, from which the name of the hill is derived, is in north and northwest of this hill. It has lots of natural hills with green landscape and eye-catching height. The extension of the hill is toward north-south way and deep slope.
The area of the top of the hill is so low and its most part’s wide is about 2 or 3 meter.

Varkabud Hill of Ilam

Varkabud Hill is located near Kashgan River and 20 km far from northwest of Ilam. Archeologists had found some graves from a vertical hole which is 26 meters high and 11 meters wide. The graves were covered by scattered rubbles and grand rubble beside graves hold the ceiling of the graves.
The dead bodies were buried in crooked shape with their belongings. The metal materials found from this cemetery indicate that they use metal for making a weapon or any other precious things.
What had been found there belonged to 8th Centuries AH.

Kal Yazid Hill of Ilam

 

This hill is located near Tikhan Hill and has some antiques belonged to different periods of the history. It is estimated that there was a palace on this hill in the Sasanian Dynasty or the emergence of Islam. Archeologists cannot comment exactly on the history of the hill but it is estimated that the hill was the place of first governments.

Kan Gonbad Cemetery of Ilam

Kan Gonbad Cemetery of Ilam

This cemetery is located 30 km far from southeast of Ilam, on Shah Nakhjir Mount bank of Farqai Kabir Mount. This bank is about 350 km wide and long. It is made from stone and soil and the graves are located at its top and hillside. The archaeology researches indicate that this cemetery belonged to 2500-2600 AH or 4600-4500 AH.

Chenar Cemetery of Ilam

Chenar Cemetery of Ilam

It is located in Chenarbash District of Ilam and belonged to thousand years BC. Iran and Belgium archaeology group had found some graves near the river which had been drained. According to that time the decedent was buried in small and big crocks and their belongings also had been buried with them. Although the cemetery is not completely visible archeology group had found historical traces in this district.
