Kuzehgaran Hill of Dareshahr

Kuzehgaran hill is located 5/5 km far from Tikhan (Tiqen). It is older and bigger than Tikhan Hill. It belonged to 3th Millennium BC. But its first floor belonged to Sasanian Dynasty. Some painted and colored potteries had been found from there. Birds and goats are mostly painted on potteries.
Some graves had been found in hill’s lower parts. There are some potteries which are filed with decedent bones and buried in a plastering place. There are other graves, bones in other parts of the hill which has grand ovens and alley of ashes.
According to what had been found, the graves at the top of the hill belonged to Zoroaster Period. It is considered that this place was a pottery workshop and is also known as Kuzeh Garan (=potter) Hill.
