Heidarzadeh House of Tabriz

This beautiful house has been located behind the mayoralty near Ali Shah Arg in Heidarzade st. it is Tourism information base of Tabriz. This two-story house belongs to Mr. Heidarzade, one of the great carpet merchants in Qajar era (more than 100 years ago). It has two basements, interior and exterior yards, an old reservoir, beautiful pillars and capitals, ornaments, wooden and stained glass windows. There is also a pool in the second basement of the house.

Pirheiran Cemetery in Azerbaijan

This cemetery is located in Azarshahr gardens. Its name is derived from Khaje Yusef Dehkharqani’s nickname; Pirheiran or BabaHeiran. There is a small room in the middle of the cemetery which is the place of Khaje Yusef burial. A big marble is hanged on the western wall of the room which the death date of Khaje Yusef is carved 1159 AH on it, but the date on grave’s inscription is 670 Ah which is probably the right date.

Shabestar

Shabestar, East Azerbaijan, Iran.

Shabestar is one of East Azerbaijan old cities. Its name is written in old and historical books. Hamdollah in Nazhatolqolub (740 AH) admired the prosperity of this city and said: “ the forth part of Orunaq is located in the west of Tabriz. Its entrance is three leagues far from Tabriz and has extended to fifteen leagues. Its width is five leagues. Its products are fruits, grapes, and cereal. It has thirty parts each of which has its own district like Sis Shabestar, Iqan KuzeKanan.”
The most significant reason of Shabestar’s fame is because of Mirza Ali Akbar Mojez Shabestari, the prominent satirist of Azerbaijan and martyr Sheikh Mohammad Khiabani.
