Isfahan is the central province of Iran. Its area is about 105 thousands square kilometer. Ten percent of Iran Desserts located in this province. Najaf Abad, Ardestan, Natanz, Aran va Bidgol, Kashan and Isfahan Counties got most of the province area. About 340000 Hectare of Dasht Kasht Forests is in Isfahan province and about 90000 Hectare is in Ardestan County.
Isfahan is one of the greatest handicraft producers of Iran and it also was center of hand and craft producer from old times.
the first structure of the city belonged to 6th BC and was the army gathering place in the Safavid Dynasty and Pre Islam Period. So it was named Sepahan, Ispahan, Isphan, Safahan, and Isfahan. It also was the capital of Iran in the Parthian Period.
It is located 424 km far from south of Tehran and its climate is actually dry.
