Goshayesh Spring of Maraqeh

Goshayesh village is located 14 km far from southeast of Maraqeh, 700 meters far from southwest of where mineral springs are located. There is an east-west valley that Mordi River running. There are two mineral spring in this valley one of them leaps from limestone rocks in the south of the valley, the other leaps from a hole in a limestone rock in the north of the valley concisely. Although the pressure and amount of water got lower after each leap, the leap repeated and repeated again. It is in calcium bicarbonate and manganese carbonated water categories. Its temperature is 25Celsius and its taste is somehow nippy and its height is 1470 meter.

Shahi Island in Azerbaijan

Sahahi Island of Azerbaijan

Shahi Island is the only residential and habitable Island in Urmia Lake. It is shaped as Peninsula in summer time due to raining and evaporation. The habitats move to Tabriz, Azarshahr Gorgan, Shabestar by this way. Nowadays, a minor road has been built from Tabriz-Azarshahr paved Road, beside Khaseban Animal husbandry, to the Island. Island’s length is 24 and its width 15km.
This green Island with its fresh water (it has 54 freshwater springs) in the middle of seawater is considered as one of the wonderful and rare places. Different kinds of birds like Pelicans, Ruddy shelduck, Flamingos, and other birds live in swampy and canebrake parts of the Island.
There are seven rural villages in the Island which has eight thousand population; Saray, Aq Gonbad, Gamichi, Teimoorloo, Qabchaq, Booracharloo, and Bahram Abad. People usually are farmers, ranchers, gardeners or work on a cruise ship. Major products of Island are cereal, legume, cucurbits, and dried fruits.
Aq Gonbad and Gamichi Ports do not have any wharf for ships to dock from Sharafkhane to Golmankhane. Shahid Kalantari highway connects East and West Azerbaijan from two sides of Shahi Island and Urmia. According to country divisions, Shahi Island is Shabestar County’s subordinate.

Mishodaqi Mount

Misho Mount

Misho Mountain is located in the north of Urmia and separates Mard watershed from Shabestar watershed and Urmia Lake. Marand County is located in north and Shabestar County in the south of this mount. The maximum height of this Misho is about 2855 meter and its famous mounts are Falak Daqi, Ali Alamdar, Koose Baba, Ozonbil. The extension of the south mounts of Marand and Mishodaq mount end in Morodaq Mountains.

Peiqam Valley of kaleybar

It is a big valley extended from north to the south of kaleybar and Peiqam river crossing. There is a historic castle near this valley. This valley attracts tourists in summers much more than other seasons. Its green fields, easy access, broad pastures, different kinds of trees and fruits are some of its prominent tourist attractions.

Turamin village in Azerbaijan

Turamin is a destroyed village which is located between Ilkhchi and Mamqan in Azarashahr County. A cave with a natural entrance in the foothill of a mountain, upper than a pool is one of Turamin eye-catching places to visit. There is a cemetery in front of this cave which has so many old stoned rams statues, cases, shrines, nicely carved tombstones and its interesting lines and designs that attract too much attention of visitors. Unfortunately, some of its epitaphs had been destroyed and stole by illegal antique dealers.

Panbe Shalvar Cemetery

 

Panbe Shalvar village is 6km far from southeast part of Tabriz. This village has a big and historical cemetery with huge tombstones and bar. The cemetery is placed on a hillside of a big hill and has three graveyards in its corners. There are lots of cases and sapphire rocks on the graves of this cemetery. On top of the graves, some cylindrical epitaphs with cone-shaped tops and natural carved cylindrical stones with turban shaped tops were placed. The name of each deceased is carved in Kufi and Sols styles. Some of the great scientists, mystics, and sheikhs such as Baba Khaje one of the Shadabad’s Sheikhs, Sadodin Shadabadi clergyman of Sheikh Mohammad, Sultan Oveis; the second king of Jalairid Sutanate who ruled Iraq and Azerbaijan for 73 years and died because of Vaba diseased, had been buried there. Sultan Oveis’ grave tombstone is entirely made from a well-designed adamant rock which has 2-meter length and 0.5-meter height. There is a big statue in front of the entrance door which is being considered as a decorative statue in sultan’s cemetery and cylindrical tombstones also relate to the phallic symbol.

Cemetery of Hiq

 

 

 

 

 

Hiq is one of the Khanamrud villages in Heris County. It has been located about two miles far from Khangah and has two cemeteries; one of them is Islamic which old cases and stoned rams had been put on them. The other belongs to ancient times. Its graves are scattered and destroyed and are called Cobra Cemetery (means huge cemetery) among inhabitants. There was a tunnel that was being used to smuggle before the Islamic revolution. So, many earthen casserole dishes, weapons and ornaments had been found there due to the activity of antique dealers at the time.
